Well, here we go! I'm setting up this blog to show and discuss the patterns and methods I've been using to piece quilt blocks by hand. Stay tuned, while I get myself organized. Meanwhile, let's see if I can attach a few pictures.
Hi Becky, I've been busy the last couple of day and have missed some of the pages. How in the world did I miss a pic of the block you have posted on top. That is one stunning block!!! Was it one of the About blocks?
Just to let you know, my posts will say Gramma Christy because I use that name for the blog set up for my grand daughter's pictures...but it's me....
Hi Gramma C! I made that sunflower block years ago, before About, before I had EQ even. I think I found the template outlines in an old magazine. It has remained one of my favorite blocks because of the fabrics. I love that the stripe makes the petals appear to be pointed, and there's something special about the middle fabric, too. It just worked. Glad you like it, too.
